My Qualifications

At Kaiser Permanente, I enjoy the integrated care that I am able to provide, along with the fact that I can give the kind of care that I really want. I can order any test or make any specialty referrals that I deem appropriate. I first came to work for Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco because I wanted to experience the city, its cuisine, and its tremendous cultural diversity.

Here at Kaiser Permanente in Vallejo my colleagues are great people. Our physical therapy staff is excellent, both diligent and hardworking; they extend themselves far beyond the call of duty. Now, with the advent of the Health Connect medical record system, Kaiser Permanente's integrative approach to care has become even easier.

Our members are fun to work with. By and large, they are good people who are willing to comply and work hard towards realistic expectations. My special interests include rehabilitation and electromyograms. I attend professional conferences in both areas on a regular basis.

My current hobbies are squash and ultimate frisbee, though my left knee was injured diving for a frisbee. Now, I just jog after the frisbee, and as a result, I have more sympathy for my patients. I love most racquet sports, and I like to work out at the gym while watching ESPN! I plan to take up indoor wall climbing soon.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
