Welcome to the Department of Rehabilitation Services at Kaiser Santa Clara. I would like to introduce myself to you by briefly describing my professional background.
I graduated from Bombay University in Bombay, India, in October of 1965. For the past 40 years, I have worked in hospitals and outpatient orthopedic clinics in Bombay and Bangalore, India, in Peoria, Illinois, and now in the San Francisco Bay Area.
While in India, I started the Physical Therapy Department at Mallige Hospital in Bangalore and I worked there for thirteen years. In 1972, I received my Illinois Physical Therapist license and then, in 2003, I became licensed to practice Physical Therapy in California as well! I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2003, and I especially enjoy working in the outpatient clinic at our new Homestead facility. I have taken several courses to further my Physical Therapy knowledge, and I am always learning new technological skills.
On a personal note, I have several hobbies, including music, golf, reading and yoga. I am also fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, in addition to English. I look forward to working with you to improve your well-being and I would like you to call me if you have any questions or concerns about your physical therapy. My direct telephone number is (408) 851-1465.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
