I was born and raised in India. I earned my medical degree from Sardar Patel Medical College in Gujarat, India in 1993. I completed an internship at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, in Springfield, IL in 2002. I completed a residency at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California in 2004.

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 2004 and I am active member of the Department of Hospital Medicine which is part of the Department of Internal Medicine.

My special interests are critical care & infectious diseases.

I am married and have two children. I speak Hindi, Gujarati, and some Spanish in addition to English.
