Welcome to my webpage. I believe that children and teens grow, mature, and excel when they are nurtured by a strong and healthy family. Because of this I am a family therapist. My goal is to help families get back on track to nurture children to their full potential. I specialize in working with divorced and blended families, anger management, recovering from trauma, and weight related issues in children and teens. I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 1996. When I am not working, I enjoy being a mom, biking, hiking, cooking, and traveling.

I graduated from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work. I completed my Master's degree in Social Work at the University of Iowa in 1985.

I am licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (License number LCSW18412).

My previous clincial experience includes:

  • 1989 - 1992: Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Childrens' Psychiatric Hospital, Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • 1992 - 1994: United Healthcare, Minneapolis, Minnesota
  • 1994 - 1996: Interlock Employee Assistance Program, Vancouver, B.C., Canada

I joined the Permanente Medical Group in 1996, and serve as a Psychiatric Social Worker at both the Fremont and Union City campuses.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
