Hello and welcome to my Kaiser Permanente homepage.

A native from Michigan, I have spent the past 17 years in the Bay Area. I have always been interested in the field of Psychology and I received my BA in Psychology from Cal-State Hayward and my MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University, SF Campus.

I have had many internship experiences that have served to provide a breadth of clinical experiences with a culturally and psychiatrically diverse patient population. My predoctorate internship was based at San Francisco General Hospital/ UCSF in which I worked directly with a team of Physicians to provide mental health services to patients diagnosed with severe medical conditions. Other clinical experiences in my doctoral training include working as an elementary School Counselor for children ages K-6th in Danville, CA and working with patients with chronic substance abuse and mental health issues in Oakland, CA.

While I joined the Redwood City Kaiser Permanente medical center in January 2007, my work with the Kaiser Organization began in 2004. First, I completed my Postdoctoral training in the Department of Psychiatry in Adult Services at the Pleasant Hill, CA Kaiser facility and then was employed in 2005 at the Union City Kaiser location where I worked in the Chemical Dependency Department with patients experiencing mental health issues complicated by substance abuse. In terms of professional interests, I have special interests in areas of depression, stress management, bereavement, and behavioral medicine.

In addition to the enjoyment I receive from my professional endeavors, I also take pleasure in music and the pursuit of an active and healthy lifestyle. I believe in working collaboratively with patients towards their goals to achieve psychological harmony and balance.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
