Welcome to My Home Page!
I joined the Kaiser Permanente Antioch Psychiatry Department’s Child and Family Team as a post-doctoral resident in 2009. I am honored to be employed by Kaiser and to work with a wonderful multi-disciplinary team of providers in order to offer quality mental health services to our members. Additional training through child and family internships at a county medical hospital, residential school for children with learning disorders, adolescent substance abuse facility, and community mental health center helped me develop an integrated understanding of families and youth, their distress, and their healing.
I consider distress as often stemming from insufficient problem-solving skills, coping skills, healthy relationships, and/or adaptive experiences with which to understand one’s self, others, and the world. As such, I strive to develop treatment goals collaboratively with each family and create a tailored treatment plan that may include individual and group services focused on skill building (problem-solving skills, social skills, coping skills), improving family communication and relationships, and enhancing caregivers’ abilities to set appropriate limits and address problematic behaviors.
My clinical interests include mindfulness-based practices and the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I also enjoy program development and am constantly aiming to improve our department programs and my individual practice in the department. In this regard, I always welcome member feedback and input.
On a personal note, I lived on the East Coast and in the Midwest before settling in California in 2009. I love the beautiful natural resources, landscapes, and outdoor activities here. I enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling, as well as dancing, connecting with others, and learning about new things.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
