About Me

I was born in San Francisco, California and raised in San Rafael. I graduated from Humboldt State University with my Bachelors in Social Work in 1978. I went to graduate school at Sacramento State University and earned my Masters in Social Work in 1983. I am licensed by the Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1989.

I have worked with the Sacramento Child Abuse Council and Child and Family Institute. I spent 11 years working as a social worker on the Child/Adolescent Unit at Sutter Center for Psychiatry. I came to work at Kaiser in 2000 and began the Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. Providers in the Child, Adolescent and Family program are specialists in the mental health problems experienced by children and their families. We provide treatment to children, adolescents and families. We involve the family in learning new skills to deal with psychiatric issues. We see people individually, in families or in groups depending upon problems being treated and the developmental needs of the child.

I am married with one son, two dogs and love to exercise, read and be outdoors.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
