Welcome!

Thank you for browsing my home page. I think this page as a nice way to introduce myself to my patients and offer links to Internet health care resources that I consider reliable.

I have 20 years of clinical experience in chemical dependency nursing. I was born and raised in San Francisco, and graduated from UCSF with a Masters in Science in 1997. My current practice is part-time and includes history, physical exams, consultation and liason for medically monitored in and/or outpatient detoxification, assessment and management of psychiatric illnesses. I also provide classes in a variety of subject to patients, nurses and physicians. I am the Eating Disorder Champion at Santa Clara in the CDRP. I work with a great team which will assist in developing a treatment plan that will empower and encourage you. I am very interested in wellness, and helping patients (and by extension their families), to evolve in all domains of health.

I am striving to provide Excellence in Addiction/Alcoholism Recovery Nursing or NEAR (Nursing Excellence in Alcohol/Addiction Recovery).

My Philosophy of Care

Chemical Dependency is a treatable disease. Recovery will improve health and the quality of life. At CDRP the clinical team strives to create a supportive atmosphere as the clinical team of the Chemical Dependency Recovery Program, we strive to create a supportive atmosphere in which individuals can experience their fully potential for recovery from substance-related problems. We offer a comprehensive program of group therapy, education, individual counseling, medical detoxification and psychiatric services in a compassionate and structured setting. "As a member of the Team I am looking forward to working with you, to help you and your family or caring others to help you change your life."

My Recommendations:

  • 1. Learn as much as possible about your illness and the process of recovery.
  • 2. Write down your questions in a notebook for the best use of our time.
  • 3. Please share your feelings with me and the staff.
  • 4. Bring an open mind and feel free to bring outside materials for comment.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
