Thank you for visiting my web page. I am glad to have this opportunity to introduce myself to you and share some personal and professional information about myself with you. I look forward to working with you to take care of your arthritis.

My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am a fellowship trained rheumatologist. I diagnose and treat rheumatologic diseases. There are more than 100 types of rheumatologic diseases including rheumatoid Arthritis, autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, scleroderma, polymyositis, gout and vasculitis. I find rheumatology very challenging and satisfying. I am excited to be a rheumatologist in the 21st century as there have been many medical advances and new treatment options for rheumatologic diseases.

My Practice Philosophy

My philosophy of care is to treat you with compassion, the way I would like to be treated. I thoroughly enjoy providing you with high quality evidence based medical care at Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento. Good communication with you is important to me. I will listen and educate you about your condition so that you can make an appropriate choice of care. I work closely with your primary care physician to take care of your rheumatologic condition. I keep up-to-date on current advances in rheumatology by attending the American College of Rheumatology conferences and peer reviewed journals. I am easily accessible through phone and the email address listed above.

My Tenure with Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in April 2009. I am privileged to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente that has a 60-year history of providing high quality evidence-based medical care. One of the greatest benefits of practicing at Kaiser Permanente is that I can focus on patient care. With over 6,000 physicians working together in an integrated health care system, I can call on the expertise and experience of my colleagues at anytime.

On a Personal Note. . .

I believe that leading a balanced life has helped me to be successful in my career and family life. I enjoy hiking with my husband in the weekends. I play tennis with our two lovely boys. We like traveling, especially driving. Two years ago we drove from the east coast to Sacramento. I enjoy family trips a few times a year. We spend a lot of time with our son’s scouting activities. I am a Merit Badge Counselor for the Boys Scouts of America. We have won 8 pinewood derby races to date. I have arranged scouting activities in the Sacramento area. I was awarded with a pin for bravery with our son’s scouting activities.
