Hello and thank you for visiting my home page: My first name is Ibrahim but I prefer to be called "Abe". I have been with Kaiser Permanente since 2008. In the Occupational Medicine department I see patients with a wide variety of injuries, from sprained ankles to rotator cuff repairs. I am always amazed at the number of ways there are to get hurt on the job! I strive to give every patient my best effort and personalize their treatment experience. I believe that understanding the person as a whole enables me to provide the best care I possibly can.

I was born and raised in Syracuse, NY. I decided I didn’t want to shovel snow any more so I moved to California. In my younger years I was an amateur competitive power lifter. I now enjoy more moderate weight lifting and exercise. I am a self-proclaimed “techie” and like to tinker with any gadgets or techno-gizmos, including building my own computers. My passion is food: eating, cooking, or talking about great places to eat or recipes and preparation. I like anything from a great burger to fine dining, but my obsession is barbeque! Thanks again for your interest in my home page. I look forward to working with you in the clinic.

My Medical Background:

Undergraduate school: State University of NY at Buffalo, NY
Undergraduate degree: Bachelor of Science Physcial Therapy
Medical School/Graduate Training: Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, Chatham University, Pittsburgh, PA
Fellowship: Kaiser Hayward Orthopedic Manual Physicial Therapy
Specialty training: Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS)

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
