About Me

Hi, I’m Scott Ubrick and welcome to my home page. I am an orthopedic outpatient physical therapist, which means I provide physical therapy for patients with musculoskeletal injuries of muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. I decided to do this because it combined my love of anatomy, human movement and working with people.

My Credentials

1996 B. S., Kinesiology and Physical Education Cal State Hayward
1998 M.S., Physical Therapy University of the Pacific

My Practice Philosophy

I believe we all have the power to help ourselves. What we frequently lack is the knowledge and motivation to consistently do so. In therapy we strive to understand all of the components of your problem, how they fit together and how to intervene to effect positive changes in the way you function. Through hands on care, exercise and modifications in the way you move, we can bring about great changes. It is up to us working together to make that happen.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I’ve been with Kaiser Permanente since 2007. During my tenure, I have been blessed to work along side many dedicated professionals with a diverse set of skills to better help our patients. I look forward to many happy years with Kaiser.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

I like practicing at Kaiser because of their commitment to provide affordable, high quality health-care services to the communities we serve. Kaiser provides a nearly unparalleled ability to share clinical information among all professional staff members with one goal in mind, improve the health of our members. To ensure this, they actively recruit the best professionals available; provide a stimulating, challenging and stable environment to work. Not only that, but they care about us as individuals, encouraging physical fitness, spiritual wellness and financial security through their employee policies.

On a Personal Note

On a personal note, I am happily married to my lovely wife Michelle who is also a physical therapist. When not at work, or at home playing my guitar, we are usually found on a road bike or mountain bike, hiking, snowboarding or skiing. I’m usually trying to keep up with her.

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
