Welcome to my Neuro-Oncology website. I hope the resources provided will be of help to you.

I am originally from California, having grown up in San Diego. I spent my college years at the University of California, San Diego, before venturing eastward to attend medical school in Virginia. While I enjoyed my four years in Virginia, I always longed to come back to California. Fortunately, after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2000, I moved back to Los Angeles where I completed residency in Neurology at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2004. While at USC, I was fortunate to work with a Neuro-Oncologist, Dr. Marc Chamberlain, who sufficiently inspired me to pursue it as a career. I then spent one year of fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by an additional year of fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I also received certification as a diplomat from the American Board of Psychology and Neurology in 2006.

Presently, I am enjoying my time at Kaiser, and am excited to work with my colleagues in making this a Neuro-Oncology center of excellence. Treatment of cancer in the brain and/or spine is a team effort, and our goal is to provide you with the best care possible. I work closely with my colleagues in Neurosurgery and Medical Oncology, and I cannot imagine a better group of people with which to work.

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and writing screenplays. One of my goals is to pursue filmmaking with my free time.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
