My Biography

When it came time to choose a place to work, Kaiser Permanente was number one on my list. I have always thought that Kaiser provided an exceptional model for health care delivery. The staff, hospital, and patients are all top-notch here, and not only is this a great environment to receive care, it’s also a great place to provide it. Areas of particular interest to me include pediatric anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, and anesthesia for vascular surgery.

Kaiser’s centralized health care model delivers many conveniences to patients. For example, patients are able to fill prescriptions and complete laboratory work on-site. For referrals to other specialties, patients see a clinician on our campus; there is no need to reach outside of the system. Once members are registered online, they may also schedule most appointments, review lab and test results, and exchange confidential messages with providers on their care team, all from the convenience of their computers.

During my leisure time, I am a very active surfer, an accomplished musician on the guitar, piano, and banjo, and I aspire to improve my yoga practice on a daily basis.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
