My Biography

After traveling and working around the world, I have chosen to return to San Francisco. I specifically identified Kaiser Permanente as the best place to practice my profession. At Kaiser Permanente, we demonstrate a firm commitment to excellence in patient care, and San Francisco is a locus for cutting-edge science and technology to support that excellence. San Francisco Medical Center functions as a cohesive whole and we consistently strive to enhance patient outcomes and wellness maintenance.

Patients truly understand and value Kaiser Permanente’s integrated services model. Our members know that they are respected as unique individuals with unique needs, and they will receive the tools they need to be collaborative participants in their quests for wellness. Our medical center is committed to service excellence and member satisfaction.

For me, the most professionally rewarding times are those when I see my patients experience their “ah-ha!” moments, knowing that my educational efforts have made an impact. It is so rewarding to have a patient gain mastery of their sleep apnea equipment and report back that they are finally getting a great night’s sleep. It’s gratifying to know that my professional guidance, coupled with the patient’s motivational level, has helped to not only change patients’ lives, but to enhance the quality of those lives into the future.

I embrace a philosophy of mind/body connections and strive to achieve balance in all aspects of my life. I spend much of my non-work time with outdoor activities, performance and musical arts.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
