My Philosphy of Care

As a physician of occupational medicine, it is important to me that my patients are educated about the basic aspects of work-injury prevention so that they are able to obtain and maintain their maximum level of functionality and productivity. Once the patient's injury status is evaluated, it is my objective to provide the highest degree of care so that the patient may return to a full level of work performance.

About Me

I am originally from New Delhi, India. I obtained my medical degree from Meerut University School of Medicine in India. I then came to the United States where I completed an Internal Medicine residency at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. I am board certified in Internal Medicine. I have been working at Kaiser Permanente's Santa Teresa Medical Center in the department of Occupational Medicine for the last three years.

My clinical interests are health education, industrial medicine, and preventive medicine.

When I am not practicing medicine, I enjoy playing golf and tennis, and traveling with my family. I am also fluent in Hindi and Punjabi.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
