About Me

Born and raised in San Francisco, I am a Northern California native and third-generation San Franciscan. I attended San Francisco schools K through 12. During the summers when school was out, I spent weeks helping on my grandmother's ranch near Philo, CA which is where my mother was born. When not on the ranch, I would help my father on his route as a teamster delivering items to Bay Area companies. After high school, I attended the University of California at Berkeley and received my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry, followed by post-graduate work at University of California San Francisco receiving a Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.

I am a long-time Kaiser Permanente employee starting as an intern Pharmacist at the Clinic Pharmacy on the San Francisco medical center campus in 1979; I worked there as an intern pharmacist until 1981,then as a Pharmacist.I am still a Registered Pharmacist with an active license. Looking for more challenge, I decided to go into medicine, and attended UC Irvine School of Medicine in Irvine, California where I got my MD degree, followed by internship at Kaiser Hospital in San Francisco and residency at the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, CA. Although I found Southern California fun, I returned to my roots in Northern California and have been a Santa Rosa physician since 1990.I have found Kaiser to be the Perfect place to practice medicine. It has allowed to let me grow as doctor establish long term relationships with many patients.
