Hello, and welcome! I joined Kaiser Oakland in 2010 after working primarily in Emergency Psychiatry and Crisis Intervention in the community public health system in San Francisco. I received my undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University focusing on Health and Human Services followed by my Master's of Science in Nursing at Yale University. I am currently board certified as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I work at Kaiser Oakland in both the Department of Psychiatry as well as our Chemical Dependency Recovery Program (CDRP), and often will work with individuals who are suffering from both chemical dependency challenges as well as mental health complications.

Choosing to engage in treatment and recovery can be a difficult time for individuals and their families. I enjoy working with all populations and find that creating a comfortable and safe environment for my patients allows us to brainstorm an appropriate treatment plan together. I work with an outstanding team of nurses, doctors, therapists, psychologists and medical assistants, which allows us to access group therapy, individual therapy, and appropriate resources and education you may be interested in. Together we decide if medications would be beneficial to you and what other resources we may incorporate as part of your treatment. I look forward to being your provider and assisting you though the process of recovery.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
