My Profession

I am an Anesthesiologist. I am a vital member of the surgical team and carry critical responsibilities for your welfare when you undergo any surgical procedure. As your Anesthesiologist, I am not only your advocate in the operating room, but also the physician uniquely qualified and experienced to make your trip to the operating room and recovery safe and comfortable as possible.

My Practice Philosophy

Many people are aprehensive about anesthesia and surgery. As an Anesthesiologist I always strive to put my patiants at ease, by letting them know what to expect and provide them with all the information they need,so they will be better prepared and more relaxed for the planned procedure. I also encourage my patiants to talk to the anesthesiologist and ask questions and discuss any concerns they might have about their or their loved ones anesthetic care.

I enjoy working as an Anesthesiologist. I chose this specialty because of the challenges involved and the comprehensive knowledge one needs to acquire as an anesthesiologist and most importantly to be able to quickly process and impliment this knowledge and technical skills in a complex and critical situation under time pressure. Unlike many other specialty physicians, as an Anesthesiologist I get to deal with the entire spectrum of patiant population, healthy to sick and from pediatrics to geriatrics, which I like the most. I cannot overlook the instant gratification and reward we earn after an anestetic when we see a thankful and appreciative patiant in the recovery room.

Practicing Medicine in Kaiser Permanente

After testing the waters in private practice for a brief period and academic medicine for one year following my training, I joined Kaiser Permanente in july of 2001. During this short period I have quickly come to appreciate the kaiser philosophy of quality and personalization of care. I am proud to be a part of this premier health care system which lets me practice and provide the best medical care in a comfortable, compassionate and comprehensive environment, without having to deal with the business aspects of medicine.

My Personal History

I am married to a computer software engineer and we have a son and a daughter. We love to travel as a family. I enjoy photography, reading, swimming & just spending time with my family & friends when I am not working.
