Welcome to My Internet Home Page

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. I hope that we can always provide the best possible quality of care and service to you.

About Me

I was born and raised in Michigan where the freezing winters and humid summers made me appreciate the Central Valley even more. After graduating from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI in 1989, I moved to California to continue my education. I received my medical degree at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, CA followed by completing my internship at San Bernardino County Medical Center, San Bernardino, CA and my anesthesiology residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, CA. The whole process of healing always amazed me, so I chose medicine as a career. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2008 as Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy emphasizes preventative care and constant improvement with which I strongly agree.

I chose to stay in the Central Valley because of its warm weather, family friendly atmosphere and close proximity to popular destinations. When not being an anesthesiologist, I am striving to be the best husband and father to a wonderful wife, and two young active boys. Other interests include teaching Sabbath school at church, target archery, stunt kites and airsofting.

My Philosophy of Care

The motto at my medical school is “To make man whole”. We were taught to consider all the needs of a patient to help in their healing. I like to especially focus on caring for the emotional as well as the physical needs of each patient as surgery can be an extremely stressful experience for them and their families.

Our entire Anesthesiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your pre-operative office visit, please call (209) 476-3633.

Thank you again for viewing my web page!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
