My Practice Philosophy

I have the privilege and honor of building a relationship with each one of my patients. In doing so, I can develop an understanding of their values and priorities. This bond enables us to work together as a team to create a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan to address their medical needs.

About Me

I was born in Toronto, Canada but moved to Chicago as a child and grew up in the Windy City. I attended the University of Chicago for my BA in Biology. I graduated from Rush Medical College in 2005 and stayed on at Rush for my Internal Medicine Residency. I then accepted a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Southern California. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2011 as a staff physician.

My Interests

I have a professional interest in women’s health. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, suspense novels, biking and playing ping-pong. In addition to English, I am fluent in Hindi and Urdu and speak moderate Spanish.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
