Welcome to My Home Page

As your doctor, I hope to provide the best care that is possible. My home page is another way that we can provide excellent care. It is my goal to provide you with individualized treatment to maximize your health and to attain the desired outcome utilizing the safe and best advanced reproductive technologies available.

My Background

After graduating from Swarthmore College, I attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. I started out my medical career in General Surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York City. After two years, I decided that I rather enjoyed taking care of women and their reproductive needs. I completed my ob/gyn residency at Medical College of Georgia and finished my fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at Tufts University School of Medicine.

After my fellowship, I joined a private practice in San Francisco. As an associate medical director at Pacific Fertility Center, I helped many couples achieve their dream of starting their family. During this time, I also volunteered my time at San Francisco General Hospital in teaching medical students and residents in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

In 1999 I founded the Marin Fertility Medical Group in Greenbrae, CA. I was the medical director of a practice that was focused on individualized care of patients in Marin County. I remained as a medical director at the same location until 2007 when I joined U.C.S.F. Center for Reproductive Health as an Assistant Clinical Professor. I had been a volunteer faculty member at U.C.S.F. Medical Center and San Francisco General Hospital since 1998 and joined U.C.S.F. as a full time faculty in 2007.

Roles & Responsibilities

I am board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and also in the subspecialty field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility.

Throughout my career it has always been a priority for me to demystify the process of infertility treatment and to make the various options understandable to patients as they embark on a journey which can be challenging on many levels. I strive to ensure that patients feel comfortable with, and in control of, the very important decisions they are making. I believe that clarity of information is key to a strong patient/physician relationship.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
