About Me

I was born and raised in Hyderabad, Pakistan. I received my medical degree in Pakistan in 1980. After completing initial training in general surgery and orthopedics, I traveled to the United Kingdom and then to the USA in pursuit of further education and training.

In the United States, I started my training in New York City. Next, I completed a three-year specialty training program in nuclear medicine in Los Angeles. My special interests include nuclear cardiology and thyroid diseases. I presented several research papers at national and international scientific meetings during my training.

I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1995 as a pool physician, and later began to work full-time as a staff physician at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. I transferred from Santa Clara to Vallejo in March, 2006; here I am a senior staff physician and chief of the Department of Nuclear Medicine.

Away from work I enjoy spending time with my family, as well as travel and outdoor sports. While in Santa Clara, I enjoyed working as a member on the Environmental Health Committee of the Santa Clara County Medical Association. I hold memberships in several professional organizations, including the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM), the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), the California Medical Association (CMA), and the American College of Nuclear Physicians (ACNP).

I can be reached at 707-651-1000, extension 64317, if you have any further questions or concerns about your treatment plan.
