I am pleased to join the Vallejo Health Education team. It's great to be back here in the Bay Area, as I have been living in Southern California where I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Irvine. I soon developed a passion for public health and went on to pursue my Masters degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Health Education and Health Promotion.

Many chronic conditions that are on the rise are often preventable such as: obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and some cancers. It is my goal as a Health Educator to work towards building a healthier community here in the Napa Solano region. As part of my work, I believe it is crucial to work with community leaders to create a better environment for our members through better access to care and environmental resources such as improving sidewalks, access to low-cost nutritious food, and safe areas for physical activity.

Kaiser Permanente is gaining awareness throughout the country with their Thrive campaign and involvement in cutting edge research. I am proud to be a member of a staff that is working hard to help you, the patient, make informed choices about your medical care as well as providing you with access to educational resources, such as our tipsheets, books, classes and more.

Outside the office, I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also love listening to music, walking, traveling, reading and exploring all there is to do in the Bay Area.

I look forward to working with you and you can always find me in Health Ed.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
