My Qualifications

I received my medical degree from the University of Poona Armed Forces School of Medicine in Pune, India and completed my residencies with Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix and Stanford University Hospital. I am board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. I joined The Permanente Medical Group in 1984. I spent 1984-1985 as an instructor at the VA Palo Alto helping teach residents in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Stanford University affiliated program.

My Healthcare Practice

Over the last 18 years with The Permanente Medical Group, I have had the opportunity and privilege of helping patients with disabilities, chronic pain and now with worker’s compensation injuries. I have never felt that my patients' needs or care was ever compromised. Their healthcare needs were of utmost priority.

The premise of PM&R is helping patients with disabilities achieve their maximum potential. This is a very gratifying experience. Working in occupational medicine also provides me the opportunity of being an honest, fair and sincere representative for my injured patient.

In addition to English, I speak Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

Receiving Your Healthcare From Kaiser Permanente

The Kaiser Permanente Occupational Medicine Department is stellar in its approach to the injured worker’s needs. It is well-organized, and comprehensive care is provided. It is well-orchestrated from the reporting of the injury to diagnosing, treating, physical therapy, lab, pharmacy, x-ray, to consultations, all arranged in a smooth, efficient manner.

My Outside Interests

I have a rich fabric of family and friends I spend my spare moments with. I have a keen interest in growing specialty roses. I enjoy Indian classical music and poetry and have lately indulged in writing. I hope to travel the world some day.

I volunteer my services at the Sikh Temple and help the elderly and indigent with any musculoskeletal-related issues. I also like to participate in my community’s events/activities and when the need arises, I offer my 100% support.
