About Me

I was born in Hong Kong and came to the US during my formative years. While English is my primary language, I am also fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese. Thanks to the diversity of the Bay Area, I am able to maintain my language skills without to much difficulty. I have always known that I want to take care of people. Medicine is very challenging, intellectually stimulating, and rewarding. Every patient I have met is unique, and each one has his/her distinctive set of circumstances. It is indeed gratifying to see my patients get better.

The main reason I joined Kaiser was because I share the same belief as the company current slogan -- “live long and thrive.” I stronger believe in preventive medicine and want to do everything I can to help each of my patients to understand his/her illness. In additional, I make every effort to assist my patient to prevent worsening of his/her disease state whenever possible. Personally, I enjoy traveling, dining, and cooking with my husband in my spare time. We love cooking together – it's one of the ways we spend quality time.

My Credentials

Residency St. Mary's Hospital and Medical Center, San Francisco, CA
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
