Welcome to my website. I hope that you will find some useful information.

Our department specializes in treating occupational injuries and illnesses. We try to help our injured workers get back to their job as quickly and completely as possible.

We function as a team. From the moment the injury claim is filed with our receptionist, the nursing staff, case manager and reporters are ready to process all the proper paper work.

We provide physical therapy, acupuncture and psychological counselling to help speed up the healing process. We have specialists from Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Ophthalmology and other subspecialties who are always available for consultation on more complicated problems.

Our goal is to provide a pleasant and comfortable experience for the injured worker while being treated at Kaiser Permanente Occupational Medicine department.

I was born in Canton, China, lived in Hong Kong, and then immigrated to the United States when I was 10 years old. Prior to joining the Kaiser Fremont Occupational Medicine Department in 2002, I worked as a staff E.R. physician at Kaiser Santa Clara for 1 year in 1982; I joined the Camino Medical Group in 1983 to start the Urgent Care Clinic and worked for 18 years in Urgent Care and Occupational medicine. I am the assistant chief at the Fremont Health Education Department, with strong interest in patient and employee wellness, weight management, and complementary medicine. I am married with three children, and in my spare time I enjoy playing table tennis and investing in the stock market.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
