Welcome to My Internet Home Page

Thank you for visiting my home page. I hope that this brief biography will give you an insight into who I am personally and as a practitioner.

About me

I completed my undergraduate degree at California State University, Sacramento in 2002 earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. After taking a year to engulf myself in orthopedic rehabilitation, I returned to school at my alma mater. In 2006, I completed my Masters of Physical Therapy degree. Upon graduation, my first job was at Shriner’s Children’s Hospital of Northern California. At Shriner’s, I worked with children from ages 3 months to 21 years who had suffered large burns, spinal cord injuries and other congenital disorders/deformities. While it was extremely rewarding working with this population, my love was in orthopedics. Unfortunately, in order to pursue this specialty, I had to look elsewhere. I made the transition and came on board with Kaiser Permanente in 2006. I am proficient in Spanish and fluent in Portuguese.

My Credentials

Physical Therapy School Master's of Physical Therapy from California State University, Sacramento
Internship Shrinners Hospital
Internship Modesto Memorial Hospital
Internship Campus Commons Outpatient Clinic
Internship Kaiser Permanente, Vacaville, Outpatient

When I am not working, studying, or keeping up with the latest research, I enjoy hitting the gym, being with family and friends, and cooking.

Philosophy of Care

I am here not to make my patients’ dependent on my care, but instead, to empower them by taking their care into their own hands. A large part of the treatment time is devoted to manual therapy. However, I also spend a proportionate amount of time educating patients on how to manage their symptoms outside of my treatment room. I believe in therapeutic exercise as a mean of maintaining a healthy body in a long run. Together we will work toward a healthier you.

Thank you for visiting my home page. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and I look forward to seeing you.
