My Specialty and Why I Chose It

I am an emergency medicine physician. I care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions. I chose this profession because of the diversity of patients and problems encountered. I also enjoy the challenge of making diagnosis and performing procedures.

My Practice Philosophy

I strive to provide quality care for all patients equally and compassionately regardless of socio-economic status, race, gender, age, or medical complaint. My goal is to be as efficient and thorough as possible while communicating well to patients.

My Tenure With Kaiser Permanente

I joined Kaiser Permanente in July 2007 after working at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, CA for the past 3 years.

Why I Like Practicing Medicine at Kaiser Permanente

The emergency department has a strong group of physicians on staff and it is reassuring to have easy access to consultants and follow up when patients go home from the emergency department.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
