About Me:

Starting at University of Florida and then transferring to California State University of Sacramento, I graduated in 1985 with a BA in Cultural Anthropology. I then completed my Master's in Social Work in 1987, specializing in child and adolescent mental health. I am licensed as a LCSW by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.

I joined Kaiser in 1992 and have found it to be a perfect fit for me. I enjoy the support of working with a superb team of clinicians and managers while having clinical autonomy.

In my free time, I love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking, camping, skiing and traveling. I also rejuvenate by going to meditation and yoga retreats.

Providers in the Child, Adolescent and Family program are specialists in the mental health problems experienced by children and their families. We provide brief treatment to children, adolescents and families. We involve the family in learning new skills to deal with psychiatric issues. We see people individually, in families or in groups depending upon problems being treated and the developmental needs of the child.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
