Practice Philosophy for CDRP:

As the clinical team of the Chemical Dependency Recovery Program, we strive to create a supportive atmosphere in which individuals can experience their fully potential for recovery from substance-related problems. We offer a comprehensive program of group therapy, education, individual counseling, medical detoxification and psychiatric services in a compassionate and structured setting. We relish the opportunity to help you change your life.

About Me

I was born in Eagle Pass Texas and moved to Santa Clara County about age three. I was raised in this county and have been in South County since my junior year of high school.

I attended Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley where I completed my CADC Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program. I have been working in the field since 1991. I taught Drunk Driving School at the beginning and slowly moved into The Drug and Alcohol Program. As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor I spent some time working with the schools in our area, I also taught in the Domestic Violence Program with the same agency. I spent some time as Program Director in both the Drunk Driving Program and the in the Drug and Alcohol Program within the same agency before moving to Kaiser Permanente.

My Interest

My wife and I enjoy water activities like Kayaking or floating around in Old Blue my small boat that we use on the Slough at Moss Landing. We enjoy horseback riding, movies and sharing food with good friends and family.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
