Thank you for visiting my Home Page.

I was born and raised in New York and graduated from Dartmouth College. I ventured to California for medical school and then returned to New England for my surgery residency and vascular fellowship.

Kaiser's appeal is its forward-thinking approach to patient care which enables doctors to practice medicine to the benefit of patients in an increasingly difficult environment. Our emphasis on prevention and maintenance is impressive and effective. The electronic medical record system coordinates each patient's history to a degree that I have not experienced before and allows us to answer critical research questions to improve the health and outcomes of our patients.

Vascular surgery has changed tremendously in the last few years. I am fortunate to be trained in both the traditional aspects of open vascular surgery, as well as the newer endovascular component. This has created a new paradigm in caring for vascular surgery patients which presents new treatment options that we can discuss together.

My role model in medicine is my father, who is also a vascular surgeon. His lifetime example, mostly taught to me by his grateful patients and adoring staff, is that of a technically-gifted clinician with compassion and a nurturing approach. At Kaiser Permanente, I look forward to cultivating a relationship with my patients using an identical approach by appreciating and revering the trust that you put in me as your doctor.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
