About Me
I started my professional career with Kaiser and I am very glad to make this choice, as it gave me the freedom to use my knowledge and abilities in the best possible way to take care of patients and also to grow in the professional life. I have been actively involved with teaching and educational activities since the start of my job. I spent the first 2 years of my association at Kaiser Sacramento and served as director of HBS CME program and academic attending for the UC Davis
residents.
I chose internal medicine as my specialty for several reasons, this is the
only field where you work with the patients not for their hypertension or
diabetes but for the overall well being of their health from screening for
cancers to diagnosing one, from promoting healthy living style with
exercise, proper rest and dietary habits to building one, from sharing the
joys of building a healthy family to staying available for the sad moments of
family member loss. I decided to choose the new but well recognized branch
of internal medicine — hospitalist based physician. My job is to take care of
hospitalized patients at all the floors of hospital starting from Emergency
room to ICU.
My Recommendations
I believe in team work, with my patients, staff and colleagues. I strongly
feel that patients should understand the disease to actively participate in
the process of recovery and staying healthy.
“Prevention is better than cure”
It is true for many illnesses including heart disease, diabetes,
hypertension, stroke and even cancers. Daily exercise, healthy eating
habits, no smoking and stress management can prevent many of these very
common illnesess.
