My Biography

Dr. Rick Becker specializes in adult psychopharmacology and medication consultation to the therapy staff.

Graduating Magna Cum Laude with highest honors in Biology, Dr. Becker earned his undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He went on to train for his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed his psychiatry residency there in 1984. He was board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in 1985 in Psychiatry.

Having gone through medical school on a Health Professions Scholarship, he served in the United States Air Force from 1984 through 1988. He practiced psychiatry for the NATO forces in Turkey where he was Chief of Medical Services at Incirlik Air Base and finished his military career as Chief of Inpatient Psychiatry Services at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. He received the Commendation Medal in 1988 for meritorious service. He was in private practice until 1993 when he joined Kaiser Permanente.
