Welcome

I was born and raised in Southern California. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving my Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics in 1986. I then went on to obtain my medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 1991. I completed my residency at the University of Washington in 1996. I then completed a fellowship at Harvard in Nuclear Medicine in 1997. I am board certified by the American Board of Radiology.

I jointed The Permanente Medical Group in 1997 and currently serve as Associate Chief of Radiology. My special interest is in Nuclear Medicine.

I am partnered with one child, and in my leisure time I enjoy cooking and gardening.

Please feel free to visit the Radiology Department Home Page for a wealth of information and resources.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
