Welcome to my home page!

Thank you for taking a moment to read it. I hope you will find the information and links interesting and useful.

I'm sometimes asked if I specialize in certain approaches or in treating certain problems. What's clear from the scientific literature is: the most important contributor to a good outcome in psychotherapy is the client. There are many different, valid, approaches to counseling. What's most important to me is understanding your goals, the kind of help you want, and what works for you. At every session, I like to get some measure of how things are going to ensure that we're on track in the way we're approaching your concerns. Here are links to the most Commonly Used Forms – you can save time at your next visit by downloading the form and filling it out in advance.

I look forward to being of service to you, and welcome your feedback about our work together.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
