I am passionate about my work in neuropsychology and rehabilitation because I feel that I am able to really help my patients and their families understand how an accident, stroke, neurological, or medical condition may have changed the way the a person, thinks, feels, and behaves. For families and patients, these changes can be complicated, confusing, anxiety provoking, and simply overwhelming. My approach is to explain in real-life terms what has changed, what has not changed, and how the person may be different in some respects than they were prior to the incident. Through this examination and education, I hope to facilitate my patient’s and their families’ adaptation to these changes.

My practice philosophy is pragmatic – trying to explain complex psychological and neurological processes in meaningful ways that people can understand.

I chose rehabilitation and neuropsychology because I have always been fascinated with how our brains function.

Kaiser Permanente is an exciting and collaborative environment to work in. I love the fact that I can provide my patients with I think is the best care. I also like the fact that I am surrounded by talented experts who I can collaborate with to provide my patients with the best care they need.

In my spare time I enjoy being with my family, traveling, being outdoors, and making wine.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
