Thank you for visiting my home page. I am one of the hospitalists in the Department of Medicine, and I provide care for hospitalized patients. This enables me to offer advanced care for my patients by applying my expertise of internal medicine. My collaborative effort with the patient’s primary care physician ensures a safe and comfortable hospital stay.

I believe that each patient is unique and special despite the fact that he/she may have similar ailments. I listen to patients and respond to their needs, this enables me to provide the best care suitable for each patient. I am an active listener, and I spend a lot of time getting to know my patients.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in July 2003, and I enjoy working with this group where compassion, collegiality, and excellence are valued the most.

I was born and raised in Iran, and attended medical school in Tehran, Iran. After my graduation in 1993, I worked as a general practitioner for three years. I served one year as chief resident after completing my residency training during which I was instructing younger physicians at St. Barnabas hospital.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading history, traveling, and exercising.

My Credentials

Medical school Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine, Tehran, Iran
Residency St. Barnabas Hospital, Affiliated With Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Bronx, NY
Board certification Internal Medicine, American Board of Internal Medicine

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
