I consider myself from two places: my place of birth, Nicaragua, and San Francisco. I have lived in the Bay Area since I was 10 years old and must say that life was good to me by sending me in this direction! I love the city, the people, the weather, the bay, and the fact that Northern Californians are distinguished for being caring individuals.
I studied Psychology and French Literature at UC Berkeley and years later got my master degree in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. Then, I began thoroughly enjoying working with infants, toddlers and their mothers in helping them develop good relationships, understanding, and encouraging “fun” to happen between them. Later my work expanded to working with families with children up to 18 years of age.
I envisioned working for Kaiser Permanente after seeing the “wowing” care that KP provided for my mother when she got sick. Nowadays, working in the Early Start program, I have been able to realize this goal in a way that allows me to continue impacting child-parent relationships and enjoying every bit of it!
When not working as a therapist, I spend time with my domestic-partner of 4+ years, our spoiled cat Tye, and my mom. I enjoy exercising, traveling, meeting people, and spending time with friends and family.
