Welcome to My Home Page!

At the age of 13 I thought I was going to be a physician but all that changed when I took an introductory psychology class my freshman year at the University of Southern California. One weekend we were invited to go to Camarillo State Hospital (now closed) to talk to the patients and observe a few therapy sessions. After that, my career path was clear to me. I wanted to be a psychologist because I thought the world that these patients were struggling in and the psychotherapists who were helping them seemed infinitely more rewarding to me as a career than the one of a primary care doctor or a surgeon.

My philosophy of care is to give my patients all the vast and wonderful resources Kaiser Permanente and our surrounding communities have to offer by working with them in a spirit of empathy, warmth, genuineness, and a sense of humor. The goal of my work is to give my patients the tools to manage troubling thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships so that in the future they are less likely to return to treatment.

My Education and Credentials

Undergraduate Education BA, Psychology, University of Southern California
Graduate Education MA, General Psychology, Pepperdine University
Graduate Education Ph.D., Clinical Psychology, California Graduate Institute
Internship Glendale Family Service
Licensure Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist & Licensed Psychologist in California (PSY9820)

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
