Welcome to my Homepage
My Background:
I was born at the San Francisco Kaiser (I'm a Kaiser baby!). I lived in San Francisco and Pacifica as a toddler. Most of my childhood years were spent growing up in Walnut Creek with my two brothers and wonderful parents.
My Education/Work:
I attended college at the University of California, Davis majoring in biological science. I then packed my warm winter coat and moved to Boston to complete a graduate degree in public health from Harvard University. With a public health background, I've worked for the US Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, DC. I rounded out my education with my medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. Finally, I returned back home to California to complete my Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
My Interests:
I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to visit countries such as: Thailand, Japan, China, Indonesia, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, and most of Europe.
In my free time, you can usually find me outside being active. I enjoy activities like: mountain biking, tennis, soccer, and skiing/snowboarding. During football season, I'm usually in the stands cheering on the CAL Bears!
My Practice Philosophy:
I love Emergency Medicine because of the diversity. Not only of the medical issues I see, but of the great diversity of people I get to meet every day. My goal for every patient I see is to comfort, heal, educate, and help you thrive!

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
