Greetings! Welcome to my Home Page!

I am proud to be a member of such an outstanding department and the medical group at Kaiser Permanente Central Valley. This site is to help you become a little more familiar with me and the Anesthesia Department.

About Me

I was born and raised in South Africa. In 1971, I received my medical degree at University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. I chose to become a doctor because that is how I am best able to render my service to humanity, and I also derive great satisfaction from providing care and contributing to my patient’s well-being.

Kaiser Permanente is a model that promotes health, integrates care and provides cost-effective health care. I chose to practice in the Central Valley as my wife and I have been residents here for 19 years and have family ties in the area.

Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care is to treat the patient as if he or she were your own family member, and in that way, you will render the best care possible.

Our entire Anesthesiology Department and I want to be certain that all of your concerns are addressed. If you forget to ask a question during your pre-operative office visit, please call (209) 476-3633.

Thank you again for viewing my web page!

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
