About Me
I have been working with children, adolescents and families in a variety of capacities for the past 34 years, including as an elementary school teacher, a pediatric/adolescent nurse practitioner, and for the past 12 years as a psychologist. I received graduate degrees from the University of California at San Francisco and from the California Professional School of Psychology. I completed my Post-Doctoral training at University of California Davis Medical Center.
I am licensed by the California Board of Psychology, and joined Kaiser Permanente in 1998 as a psychologist. I currently work in the Child, Adolescent and Family Program in the Department of Psychiatry. Providers in the Child, Adolescent and Family program are specialists in the mental health problems experienced by children and their families. We provide brief treatment to children, adolescents and families. We involve the family in learning new skills to deal with psychiatric issues. We see people individually, in families or in groups depending upon problems being treated and the developmental needs of the child.
I really enjoy working with this population and collaborating with families regarding treatment issues. Working at Kaiser Permanente is both challenging and rewarding and provides the opportunity to collaborate and coordinate care with a complete healthcare team.
Be sure to visit the Kaiser Permanente Website for additional information regarding appointments, prescriptions, health education classes and other health-related topics. You can also click on my department link above to receive additional health information.
