As a nurse care manager in the Chronic Pain Program at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City Medical Center, I work with an interdisciplinary team of professionals with varying talents and skills dedicated to helping patients with chronic pain.

The Chronic Pain Program allows me to apply my expertise in nursing, patient teaching, management, and care coordination. As part of my role, I help the chronic pain patients by teaching coping skills, lifestyle habits, helping them with medication adjustments, and practical plans to help improve their level of functioning and reinforcing their continued growth and successes. One of the most gratifying aspects of my work is witnessing patients emerge from our chronic pain program with greater hope, useful pain management tools, and increased physical and psychological function.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 1991 and began my nursing practice in 2006.

RN- California license M.A.- Health Care Administration B.S.- Cellular and Molecular Biology

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, hiking, and cooking.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
