My Practice Philosophy

I value interdisciplinary medicine, and I enjoy working closely with primary care physicians and specialists to help make the best clinical decisions for patients. As a Diagnostic Radiologist and sub-specialized Neuroradiologist, I view myself as a consultant who synthesizes the findings on an imaging study with the clinical history and exam findings to best diagnose medical conditions and in turn help facilitate optimal care for patients.

About Me

I was born in Miami Beach, Florida and raised in Los Angeles, California. I attended UC Berkeley for my BA in Molecular and Cell Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology. I graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine in 2004 and remained at Stanford for my internship in General Surgery at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. I completed my Diagnostic Radiology residency at UC San Diego. I then moved to San Francisco for a fellowship in Neuroradiology at UC San Francisco.

I am board certified by the American Board of Radiology. I joined Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara in 2011. In addition to English, I am partly conversational in Spanish.

My Interests

My medical interests include pediatric neuroradiology, imaging of epilepsy and neurologic autoimmune disease, advanced stroke and cerebrovascular imaging, as well as head and neck imaging. On a more personal note, I am married and have two children. I enjoy skiing, traveling, watching collegiate and professional sports and spending time with my wife and two sons. Recently, we had a memorable family trip to Alaska and a tour of Japan.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
