About me...

I decided to pursue medicine because I felt it was a great and noble profession. I have been with Kaiser Permanente for more than sixteen years and am thankful to be associated with such a great organization. I feel privileged to help people in their emergency conditions.

I earned my medical education in India and after that I did three years of training in Africa. Africa was a very exciting place to work and get training. After that, I spent one year of training in the United Kingdom did my residency at Saint Joseph hospital in Chicago and then worked in the emergency department for three years. I joined Kaiser Permanente - San Jose in 1988 and have been living here happily since.

Clinical interests...

While I see all aspects of emergency medicine, I have special interests in orthopedic emergencies and orthopedic procedures.

On a personal note...

When not practicing medicine, I enjoy working in the garden, especially with our three loving dogs. I also enjoy cooking and barbecuing and spending quality time with friends and co-workers.

My philosophy of care...

My philosophy of care is to increase emphasis on preventative medicine and immunizations. I also encourage you to use emergency department services for real emergencies and follow up with your primary care provider for minor illnesses.

My Credentials

Residency St. Joseph Health Care Centers and Hospital, Chicago, IL

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
