To My Patients:

Welcome to my internet home page. This site is designed to provide you with information regarding Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. There are a number of links to clinical information as well a link to the web sites of other members of our department.

About Me

I was born and raised in Madras, India. I graduated from Stanley Medical College in Madras. I completed my internship in Brooklyn, New York and completed my Radiology Residency at the VA Hospital and New York University Medical Center in New York.

I had 20 years of service in the US Navy, Medical Corps, as a Diagnostic Radiologist. My tour of duty included Yokosuka, (homeport for the US Navy 7th fleet), Okinawa and Sasebo in Japan, USS midway, Rota, Spain, Oakland, CA and Naval Hospital in San Diego. I retired from the US Navy with the rank of Captain. During my career in the Navy, I published several medical articles as well as a chapter in a medical textbook.

My wife Radhika and I moved to Lodi in 1988 and I continue to enjoy my second career as a Radiologist at Kaiser Permanente Stockton. I am certified by the American Board of Radiology in Radiology and Nuclear Radiology. I am a member of The Radiological Society of North America and San Joaquin County Medical Society.

My leisure time pursuits include traveling, bird watching, hiking, jazz music and table tennis. Our favorite destinations have been St Petersburg, Russia, Jerusalem, the Holy City, Safari in Africa, Great Wall of China and Machu Pichu in Peru. I was all Navy Table Tennis Champion as well as Lodi City Champion in 1994. Please click here to see some pictures of “My History”.

My Philosophy of Care

Treat everybody with respect and kindness and share your knowledge with whoever comes your way. I am an eternal optimist and encourage everyone to view life in this manner. I strongly believe that vitamins, good nutrition and regular exercise can lead to better health and great outlook on life.

Disclaimer
If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
