About Me

In July 2000, I joined The Permanente Medical Group.

I became a physician because it gave me the opportunity to learn about the complexities of the human body and to apply the knowledge to patients in a compassionate manner. It also allows me to work with many health professional who share the same goal of improving a patient's health and quality of life.

Gastroenterology appeals to me because it allows me the opportunity to garner cognitive and technical knowledge. In addition, it requires challenging procedures that can be life saving and improve a patient's health.

I choose to work for Kaiser Permanente because of its commitment to high quality health care and the ability to work in a supportive and collegial atmosphere.

I encourage my patients to exercise regularly, eat balanced meals and to communicate with their doctors.

Outside of medicine, my hobbies include sports and reading.
