My Biography

I studied Anesthesia at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center after having worked in Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital following graduation from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. While working as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, I obtained a B.S. in Health Science followed by a M.S. in Biology/Clinical Nutrition. I have also studied Acupuncture at the N.E. School of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology at Five Branches School of Oriental Medicine in Santa Cruz. I am a licensed Acupuncturist in California. I have also had the opportunity to study many other forms of healing. I have worked at Kaiser in South San Francisco for many years, and I find the staff at all levels to be dedicated, conscious, and caring practitioners.

Besides doing anesthesia, I am the proud father of two wonderful daughters. My oldest is an avid Irish Step Dancer, participating in National competitions with the Golden-Greene Dance Team. My younger daughter is an animal lover/pet owner. She has been a vegetarian for years as she believes all animals are her friends and "I don't want to eat my friends". Both of my daughters enjoy attending Scottish Fiddle Camp with Alasdair Fraser in the summer. Together we enjoy sailing, camping, and attending dance/theater events.

Our goal at Kaiser Permanente is to be your health plan of choice and deliver the quality medical care our members deserve. Thank you again for choosing Kaiser Permanente.

If you think you have a MEDICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC EMERGENCY, CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY or go to the nearest hospital. DO NOT attempt to access emergency care through this web site. An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
