To apply the medical knowledge acquired in providing state-of-the-art health care, individualized to each patient, in an evidence-based fashion is the practice philosophy I strive for.

During my training over the years, I have realized the challenges the sub-specialty of pulmonary and critical care poses. Treating the critically ill can be extremely challenging and to be able to provide timely and appropriate care towards a good outcome, is both rewarding and immensely gratifying.

Practicing pulmonary medicine allows me to provide preventive care as well as treat a wide range of lung diseases including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung diseases and lung cancer.

Diagnosing and treating pulmonary arterial hypertension is my special interest and I am looking forward to starting a pulmonary hypertension clinic in the future.

Prior to my fellowship training, I worked as a Hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. After a brief period of private practice subsequent to my training, I have realized that the Kaiser system has a much superior practice structure and allows physicians in providing health care with cutting-edge technology in a timely fashion.

I am an active member of American Thoracic Society and an affiliate of the American College of Chest Physicians.
