My passion for working with those with hearing loss began at a very young age as I accompanied my mother, who has congenital hearing loss, to all of her audiologic and hearing aid appointments. I was so inspired by her audiologist that I knew I would grow up to help others with hearing loss.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Sacramento State University and completed my Doctor of Audiology degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. During my clinical rotation year I trained in BAHA and cochlear implants at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, where I later worked as an audiologist on their Cochlear Implant Team. Before joining Kaiser Permanente in 2010 I worked for a cochlear implant manufacturer.

Kaiser Permanente is an outstanding medical organization and it has been my pleasure to join the audiology team at South Sacramento. My areas of interest are pediatric and adult diagnostics as well as implantable devices including BAHA and cochlear implants.

I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)

An emergency medical condition is a medical or psychiatric condition that manifests itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) such that you could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in any of the following: serious jeopardy to your health, serious impairment to your bodily functions, or serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part. An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
